The word parley means a conference or discussion, especially to promote harmony and cooperation.

The Past Presidents Parley is no longer a stand-alone program at National. However, Department feels it is still a wonderful program to recognize and honor our Past Presidents.

Department, District and Unit Presidents are members of this group. Units provide $5 per Past President from their unit on the Contributions & Obligations annually and membership cards are forwarded from the Department’s Past Presidents Parley chair to the unit for distribution to each president with a thank you and congratulatory message about their service.

At department convention the program sponsors a tea that honors the Unit member of the Year and helps fund their trip to the National convention if they choose to attend.

The Department program also sponsors an annual nursing scholarship for a high school student attending college for nursing or another closely related healthcare field.
